Dear Sarah + Ryan // Married
I am so excited to finally share this micro wedding with you.
Sarah and Ryan were set to get married in a church and have their reception at a family ranch on April 25th, 2020. They held out as long as they could before cancelling everything. They knew they had get married somehow because they were moving to Arizona in May. (Thankfully, they had a marriage license which was impossible to get during in April.) Ryan just graduated medical school and was offered a job and Sarah is a hospital RN. So they knew they had to make their wedding happen before they left CA. and family. Thankfully, the church allowed them to have a very small ceremony with just family. There was under 20 guests including me. I have to say it was so intimate and special. There was no other place I would have rather been that day.
This wedding was full on pandemic style! Ryan arranged a surprise drive by reception for Sarah!!! There must have been at least 30-40 cars full of guests driving by honking, and cheering for Sarah and Ryan. After the parade was over the ice cream truck drove by and well the rest is history. I hope that they’ll make ice cream an anniversary traditon. It wasn’t the dream wedding they had planned but it really was a unique and special day. I know years from now they’ll look back and realize that they’re probably one of the few couples that were able to actually have a wedding during this this time. Sarah and Ryan look amazing and were absolutely glowing all day.
I asked Sarah and Ryan what they loved about their wedding day......
“We both loved how intimate and simple our ceremony was. We thought we wanted a large ceremony with all our family and friends, but I think we were able to enjoy the moment a little bit more without all the stress that comes with a large wedding. We were able to just “breathe” with Each other and cherish every part of our ceremony. We loved our drive by “reception” to see our family and friends and the ice cream truck was pretty awesome! I can’t say we loved one thing the most because the entire day was so special.”
Today Sarah and Ryan are living is AZ taking care of Covid patients so that our country can fight this virus and couples can have their dream weddings again. Thank you Sarah and Ryan and take care of each other.
Love Jenn
